OUR SOLUTIONS FOR ROUND TUBES

Sanding and finishing of round, oval and conical tubes

Sanding round , oval or conical tubes , whether straight or bent , is an essential step to obtain a perfectly smooth , homogeneous and regular surface , depending on the requirements specific to the material and the level of finish desired.

This process involves removing scratches, cut marks, surface irregularities , and any imperfections that could detract from the tube's appearance or functionality. Thanks to the use of appropriate abrasive belts, calibrated grits , and planetary sanding systems, a uniform and professional finish can be guaranteed, regardless of the type of tube being treated.
This approach ensures a perfectly controlled external finish, tailored to the specific needs of each application.

Tube sanding is particularly suited to many industrial sectors:
bodywork elements,

frames and chassis parts for the automotive industry,
aeronautical components,
metal furniture parts requiring a high-quality aesthetic finish,
architectural elements for interior design,
– and many other applications requiring a precise, clean and durable finish.

Thanks to our dedicated machines, it is possible to efficiently process a wide variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, wood or PVC, while obtaining a consistent, reproducible and highly professional level of finish.

Frequently asked questions about sanding round tubes

Sanding round or oval tubes, whether straight or bent, is an essential step to achieving a perfectly smooth, uniform surface that meets the highest finishing standards.
This process effectively eliminates irregularities, scratches, cut marks , or surface defects that could compromise the final appearance or the assembly of the part.
By removing a thin layer of material evenly, sanding ensures a consistent finish along the entire length of the tube, regardless of its shape.

Our range of machines allows for sanding a wide variety of diameters thanks to their versatile design.
Working capacity extends from Ø 5 mm to Ø 356 mm, offering great flexibility for processing thin, medium, or large tubes.

Our machines are equipped with one to four sanding heads, guaranteeing a consistent, even, and perfectly controlled finish, even on the most demanding parts.

It is possible to use different grains depending on the desired level of finish:

– Coarse grit (40–80) : for quick removal of deep marks, for deburring and roughing.
grit Medium : for standard sanding, to obtain a uniform surface.
grit Fine : for a high-quality aesthetic finish.
grit Very fine and non-woven : for a satin, brushed, or decorative finish.

Since changing the belt is simple and quick, the operator can easily adapt the level of finish to each production run.

The sanders are compatible with a wide variety of materials, including: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, etc…
Each material can be treated with a suitable grit to ensure a regular finish and avoid any overheating or marking.

Yes. The machines are designed for sanding short, medium and long tubes, with suitable support options for long bars to ensure stability, precision and safety throughout the entire treatment.

Tube sanding is used in many sectors where aesthetics and surface quality are essential, including:
The automotive industry : frames, body panels, chassis parts.
– Aerospace : tubular components requiring a precise and consistent finish.
– Metal furniture & design : decorative structures and high-end elements.
– Interior architecture : railings, balustrades, exposed tubing requiring a meticulous finish.

Thanks to this technique, the tubes achieve impeccable aesthetics, visual uniformity , better corrosion resistance , and a finish perfectly suited to their end use.
